Progress Trackers

To ensure that you are gaining from your time with us we evaluate outcomes with you at regular intervals.

  • We develop the programme of activities with all members
  • We discuss with you and negotiate which activities you would like to do
  • We ask you to state your personal aims and needs
  • Where an individual is unable to verbally express themselves we use others methods to assess their responses to activities. We also liaise with carers and families to obtain more information

Key working

Key working is a system for providing individualised care through a named staff person. Key working enables you to know there is at least one person to whom you can turn for support who has understanding of your needs, wishes and rights.

The benefits of key working are:

  • Developing a reliable and positive relationship with a staff member
  • Just being there as an approachable, dependable person-especially in difficult times
  • Maintaining, exploring, encouraging and expanding your network of links with your family, friends and other agencies
  • Monitoring care to ensure that it is as good as it can be

Inclusion

Every effort is made to ensure the member feels empowered and respected throughout  planning meetings, activities and reviews.

Food

We make every effort to inform members on healthy eating and that the lunches provided and brought in by members are nutritious and balanced.

  • We provide a varied menu throughout the week
  • All our staff have completed a food hygiene certificate
  • We make every effort to ensure that members have a pleasant eating environment
